once upon a time there was a poor widow who lived alone in a small house she had a daughter as beautiful as a rose called rosie her name was derived from the brilliant rose garden planted in front of their house rosie was cheerful well-behaved and hard-working which was rare in this world to have such a child they lived happily together day after day until winter came when snowflakes fell outside the window that day rosie and her mom were sitting by the fireplace in the house and her mother was reading a story to her on a chair when suddenly there was a knock on the door rosie ran to open the door and a big bear appeared in front of her they panicked and screamed the bear immediately reassured them don't be afraid don't be afraid i won't hurt anyone i'm just very hungry and cold i want to drop in for some food and ask for a place to stay for the night rosie and her mother felt pitiful for the bear so they let it into the house and brought warm soup for it and together they listen to the mother read fairy tales from that night every day the bear would knock on the door to ask for a sleep it brought a lot of gifts to rosie and mother a honey pot or a flower bouquet rosie loved the bear very much she just wanted to play with it all day winter was slowly passing in spring was coming the bear said goodbye to rosie and her mother return to the deep wood the two were very sad but had to let the bear go after the bear left rosie was so sad she often found an excuse to go to the forest and hope that she could accidentally meet the bear again on that day as usual rosie brought the basket back to the forest as she was walking down the street she suddenly heard a loud scream rosie rushed to see what was happening when abruptly saw an old goblin stuck his beard into a tree seeing rosie just watching the old goblin shouted loudly stupid kid why are you standing there come over here and help me pull out my beard rosie rushed to try and lift the log but couldn't do it this moment rosie got an idea she took the scissors from the basket to cut the stuck beard off the goblin and rescued him when the goblin was saved he didn't thank her but scolded her stupid an insolent girl how can you blatantly cut off my powerful beard losing some of my strength i can't meet others after a few days rosie went back to the forest to collect firewood and she continued to hear the the goblin coming towards him raised the paw to try and crush him hey why do you only focus on attacking one person you're so big but you can only fight to a smaller person the distracted goblin turned to look at rosie at this moment the bear ran up to use his sharp claws to scratch the goblin's leg so hard that he cried out in pain and sat down to hug the leg rosie suddenly remembered the goblin saying about the power of the beard when she cut his beardwl while the goblin was holding his leg in pain she quickly picked up the scissors that had fallen on the ground and rushed to cut off the goblin's beard losing his beard the goblin returned to his tiny shape and fled in terror into the deep forest rosie turned back to look for the bear but surprisingly the bear was nowhere to be found instead a handsome young man was walking towards her rosie i am the prince of this kingdom once while i was hunting i met that evil goblin he cast a curse that turned me into an ugly bear to steal my gold and silver the curse only disappears when his magic dissipates you are my benefactor thank you very much i have long fallen in love with you because of your honesty and courage are you willing to follow me to the palace and become my princess rosie agreed and followed the prince to the palace to hold the wedding ceremony rosie got her mother into the palace to live with her since then they have lived together happily ever after
